Benton Cacao Moist & Mild Cream

I’ve been testing this product for little over a week now, so i will be able to give you my overall thoughts and opinions on this skin care item sent to me by Benton. I’ve used Benton products before, only samples though, but i must say i enjoyed it. When Benton was reaching out to bloggers to review their new product: Cacao Moist & Mild Cream, i was excited and i had a feeling that it would work well for me due to the status my skin is in at the moment. Their skincare products focus on giving the skin what it needs, so their indigents are usually minimal yet very effective. Benton is a Korean brand that is very popular in Korea yet also accessible in the USA.

Ingredients:  Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Water, Sorbitan Olivate, 1,2-Hexandiol, Pentylene Glycol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyglutamic Acid, Madecassoside, Beta-Glucan, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum

Skin Type:  I have combination skin, more on the oily side but very dehydrated. My skin barrier is out of wack due to the Tretinoin cream im currently using, so any kind of moisture will benefit me. The Tretinoin cream has side effects of skin irritation, redness, flaking, and burning  during the “purging stage” (which was the stage i was in at that time) so anything with the description MILD/ GENTLE is something i gravitate immediately to.

About the cream:  This is a cream that is not heavy on the skin nor sticky. It is able to hydrate and moisten the skin leaving it replenished and dewy. The texture is basically like a lotion but when you blend it into your skin it feels like you spritz water on your face with the amount of hydration it gives. It has no noticeable scent which i enjoy, and the cream it just white because they don’t add any coloring, which is what i look for in a moisturizer. This product will be great for all skin types, even those who are oily since it helps oil-water imbalance. The PH level of this cream is 6 which slightly acidic but is still gentle yet packs a punch to help bring back that moisture. I used this cream not just on my face but also on different parts of my body like my chest, elbows, and knees, so its multi-functional and great for traveling so you can downsize bringing too many products. This cream is light-weight and sits on the skin nicely throughout the day.

About the packaging:  The packaging is a nice cute squeeze out tube that has a sturdy cap that closes tightly. It has a minimal design of pink which is really appealing to the eyes. You can travel with it because it meets the mark of having 1.6 oz of product in it, which is the standard amount. You might be saying $16 for just 1.6 oz of product ?? I know girl, that’s not much product, especially since you use moisturizer everyday, but i say your paying for the ingredients and benefits this cream gives your skin. Skincare is an investment and is the only way to make your make up look EVEN BETTER! Is it worth getting? I say yes, it’s worth a shot! since it’s gentle yet effective. If it is not within your budget i think the Cerave PM Moisturizer is a DUPE for this cream and is e
